I have started being asked this question.
I didn't think I was.
Until.....
I turned the corner at Walmart.
School supplies.
Fresh, new, all lined up in a row.
I think I heard the Hallelujah Chorus.
I love school supplies.
My "ocd"ness LOVES that they were all lined up not having any out of line.
I am coming around to the fact my summer is almost over.
"Are YOU ready for school yet?"
About a week ago, I was invited to a Mary Kay party for a facial pampering experience. How wonderful! "I'll be there" I said. It was perfectly set up for 5 of us around a table. Each of us had a placemat with a Mary Kay mirror and a book of the wonderful facial products and what they could do for MY skin. I was having so much fun with my new friends, as I used each product to remove my make up then cleanse and refresh. We went on to find our color of foundation, and soon after having ALL these products on my face I felt IT.
IT=BURN
My skin slowy started to feel a burn until I felt like my face was on FIRE. I had to say something. Anywhere else and I would have had to just grin and bare until I got home as not to embarrass the hostess. But I couldn't...I had to ask for a rag. I had to wash ALL of this off. It still burned. When I got home I took a shower and washed my face AGAIN. I lay in bed that night and I couldn't sleep. My face was on FIRE.
Fast forward 5 days later... I can wear makeup again. The skin on my face was literally raw especially around my nose and mouth. I can only use soap to wash my face and I don't like liquid foundations. Evidently my face doesn't like them either!!
Sorry Mary Kay.... I can not be your friend.
Tonight I have spent hours on the internet going thru my favorites and cleaning that out...old links I saved for whatever reason! THEN I come upon MY blog. I know...sad, pitiful. I have no excuse. It's not like I'm not on here...I'm just stalking OTHERS blogs. :) I enjoy reading what everyone is up to and then just too tired to do my own. I have some catching up to do!
I am having such a relaxing, fun summer. I didn't think I could even begin to think about school starting. THEN I went to Walmart and saw the aisles. The aisles of school supplies...all lined up so neatly. I LOVE school supplies...NEW school supplies. I'm beginning to think of the first day of school...I see it around the corner of my calendar. I think I'll be ready...but until then I'm going to enjoy our lazy days. And I'm going to go back thru our calendar and let you know what we have been up to this summer! :)

CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS!!!!
I have always been a huge advocate of checking your prescriptions to make sure that the label matches what your pediatrician prescribed b/c of a couple of tragic incidents that I personally know about....and yes right in our area! As the boys have gotten older I have to admit that I have not been checking them like I should. Today I went to fill S.'s prescription and I overheard the pharmacist say his dosage...it was more than H.'s of the same medicine. For those of you who know my children know that H. is bigger and therefore should require MORE of the same medicine based on his weight. I immediately called my dr.'s office to find out that H. should be taking 1tsp. and NOT 1/2 tsp. like the typed out label says. HE HAS a touch of PNEUMONIA! Not just a sinus infection BUT PNEUMONIA. My child has not been getting the right amount of medicine that he needs to get better. Thankfully this is all it was and not something more serious....so this is why I say this... CHECK YOUR CHILD'S PRESCRIPTIONS SO THAT ANY MISTAKE CAN BE CORRECTED BEFORE YOU GIVE IT TO YOUR CHILD. Mistakes can and do happen.
